Ralph Fleck studied at the Academy in Karlsruhe and became a master student of Peter Dreher. In 1984 he received a scholarship from the Villa Massimo in Rome and has been a professor at the Academy in Nuremberg since 2003. Ralph Fleck depicts things from everyday life in his works: landscapes, bookshelves, people or even still lifes. After the first glance, the viewer is led from the motif to the formal design. Colour, structure and design are discussed. The pastose and expressive style of painting reveal tendencies towards abstraction.
