Rohlfs painted both sides of the present sheet. The front side (recto) shows the “Westphalian Landscape” outlined by strong blue wavy lines on a brown and green ground. The reverse side (verso) is more sparsely coloured. Green plants grow on yellow ground. Thick red-green-yellow tree trunks rise up into the white sky next to them. People are kneeling on the forest floor in front of the “trees”.
