Through his friendship with the director Jacques Tati, Jacques Lagrange designed many films from the 1950s to the 1970s and became a style icon for interiors and design.
The work Abstract Composition, which reflects the formal language of the 1950s and 1960s with its white and red circles, also dates from this period. The circles with the red and white colour condense into an aesthetic interplay within each other, next to each other and on top of each other.
