Short information about the artist
The Danish painter Paul Fischer received his training at the Copenhagen Art Academy from 1876-78. Since 1884 he has been represented with landscapes and Impressionist figure paintings at numerous European exhibitions, where international art collectors became aware of him and bought his colorful paintings.
Fischer’s oeuvre today is likely to be scattered in numerous countries. His popularity in the Anglo-American and of course also in the Scandinavian-speaking area can be explained by the cheerful and extremely original choice of motifs in his paintings.
