Gerhard Richter tried out the most varied of styles and techniques within painting, which is why his work is characterized by great diversity. The abstract works, including “6 November 1995”, form an important part of the exhibition. At the end of 1995 Richter began to paint an abstract picture in oil on paper every day. The colors of these leaves appear flowing and as if scraped. Interesting patterns and play of colours characterize the works.
